38. John Newton⁷ VOORHIES (Cornelius⁶ VOORHEES, John⁵ VOORHIES, Coert⁴ VANVOORHEES, Cornelis Coerte³, Coert Stevense², Steven Coerte¹) was born in New Jersey 25 Nov 1800. John died 19 Feb 1883 in Whippaney, Morris, New Jersey, at 82 years of age.

He married Eliza Dodd WARD in Hanover, Morris, New Jersey, 5 May 1824. Eliza was born in New Jersey 7 Jul 1803. She was the daughter of Jacob WARD and Abigail DODD. Eliza died 7 Mar 1874 in Whippaney, Morris, New Jersey, at 70 years of age.
