21. John⁵ VOORHIES (Coert⁴ VANVOORHEES, Cornelis Coerte³, Coert Stevense², Steven Coerte¹) was born in New Jersey 4 Mar 1729. John died 29 Apr 1800 in Bedminster Cem, Somerset, New Jersey, at 71 years of age.

He married Elizabeth MEILEU in Six Mile Run, Somerset, New Jersey, Abt 1751. Elizabeth was born 20 Jan 1724. Elizabeth died 13 May 1803 in Bedminster, Somerset, New Jersey, at 79 years of age.

John VOORHIES and Elizabeth MEILEU had the following children:

• 26 i. Coert⁶ VOORHEES was born in Six Mile Run, Somerset, New Jersey Abt 1751. Coert died 1822 in Mercer Co, Kentucky. He married Rachael CANINE Abt 1770.

• 27 ii. John VOORHEES was born in Bedminster, Somerset, New Jersey 18 Sep 1753. John died 10 Sep 1819 in New Jersey, at 65 years of age. He married twice. He married Jannette VANNEST 2 Nov 1773. He married Susanna DUMONT 14 Mar 1787.

• + 28 iii. Cornelius VOORHEES was born 18 Dec 1755.

• 29 iv. Isaac VOORHEES was born in Bedminster, Somerset, New Jersey 3 Apr 1758. Isaac died 4 Oct 1844 at 86 years of age. He married Sarah NEVIUS 19 Apr 1781.

• 30 v. Nelly VOORHEES was born 12 Jun 1763. Nelly died 18 Jan 1851 at 87 years of age. She married Cornelius POWELSON 1782.

• 31 vi. Catherine VOORHEES was born 1765. Catherine died 1796. She married Minna POWELSON Abt 1784.
